Nowhere Left to Go: Refugee Children in Calais

Elsa Buchanan’s short documentary follows unaccompanied refugee children stranded in Calais ahead of the “Jungle” camp’s demolition, revealing the fear, resilience, and uncertainty they face as Europe’s asylum systems leave them without protection. Filmed in an increasingly tense and volatile environment - where young people were wary of journalists and afraid to be seen speaking publicly - the project grew from patient trust‑building and gentle, invested and repeated conversations.
