Dalilah: Surviving Yemen’s Hidden War

At home in Taiz governorate, Dalilah Abdo Ahmed recalls the morning a landmine changed her life forever. Injured on her wedding day while collecting water with relatives, she lost both legs in an explosion that also killed and wounded members of her family. Forced from their home by conflict and explosive contamination, Dalilah now lives with the long-term physical, economic, and social consequences of Yemen’s landmine crisis — while continuing to support herself and advocate for survivors.
